Statement of Faith

Ebenezer Community Ministries

The Authority of Scripture
We believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God, providing the ultimate guide for faith, life, and godliness (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21).

The Triune God
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is infinite in wisdom, power, and love, and He reveals Himself to humanity as Creator, Redeemer, and Sustainer (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14).

The Person and Work of Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, and gave Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of humanity through His death on the cross. He rose bodily from the grave, ascended to heaven, and will return in power and glory (John 1:1-14; Philippians 2:5-11; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4).

The Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. He regenerates and indwells believers, empowering them to live holy and victorious lives. The Spirit equips the Church with spiritual gifts to fulfill its mission (John 14:16-17; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 12:4-11).

Humanity and Sin
We believe that humanity was created in the image of God but fell into sin through disobedience, resulting in separation from God. All people are sinners by nature and in need of salvation, which is available only through Jesus Christ (Genesis 1:27; Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23).

Salvation by Grace through Faith
We believe that salvation is a free gift from God, received by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. It cannot be earned by human works or merit. Through His atoning death and resurrection, we are forgiven, justified, and made new in Christ (Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:5-7).

The Church
We believe that the Church is the Body of Christ, composed of all believers worldwide. The local church exists to worship God, equip believers for ministry, and share the gospel with the world. We are called to unity in faith and love as we fulfill the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20; Ephesians 4:11-16).

The Return of Christ and Eternity
We believe in the imminent return of Jesus Christ, who will establish His eternal kingdom. All people will face judgment: the redeemed to eternal life with God and the unrepentant to eternal separation from Him (John 14:1-3; 2 Corinthians 5:10; Revelation 21:1-4).

The Mission of Ebenezer Community Ministries
As part of the Body of Christ, Ebenezer Community Ministries seeks to glorify God by serving our community in love, proclaiming the gospel, and fostering spiritual growth and transformation through discipleship, worship, and acts of compassion (Micah 6:8; Matthew 5:16; 1 Peter 4:10-11).
